Jessica & Jay

January 9th was cold. No, seriously, we are talking wind chills in the low teens cold. Jessica and Jay, however, weren’t worried about it in the least bit. I asked them if we could do some shots in front of the BEAUTIFUL front doors of the church, and they both said “let’s do it!” Again this confirms that I work with some of the coolest people you’ll ever know. The wedding was lovely, and the reception was the kind of party a couple like Jessica and Jay deserved. They decided to have an outdoor reception (yes outdoors) at the Wyche Pavilion, but never fear there was a tent inside and the heat was more than enough to keep everyone toasty. It was a true pleasure to document their amazing day, and hopefully these images will provide a glimpse of the awesomeness.

Frankie’s Homecoming

Dave and Kim Rhodes began the process of adopting Frankie from Haiti in July 2008 with the hopes of being able to bring him home sometime in the Fall 2010. As everyone knows Haiti was devastated by recent earthquakes. This created a need to expedite as many adoptions as possible in order to create room for those orphaned by the earthquake, so Dave and Kim traveled to Haiti last week in hopes of being able to bring Frankie home early. This past Saturday, I had the privilege of witnessing and documenting Frankie’s homecoming. It was an emotional experience to say the least. I did my best to capture these beautiful moments while fighting back the tears welling up in my eyes. It was such an amazing experience. Here are some photos from the homecoming. Carolyn & Michael

Carolyn and Michael were married on January 2nd, and it couldn’t have been a better way to kick off the New Year and the 2010 wedding season. Carolyn and Michael were both so laid back and a pleasure to photograph. They are both very brilliant and talented musicians (Michael is working towards a graduate degree in Music Theory and he’s a huge jazz buff). Their mutual love of music is only outdone by their love for one another, and their wedding day proved it. Thank you Carolyn and Michael for allowing me to document your wedding day!

Imaging USA

Aaron Greene and I just finished up Day 2 here at Imaging USA. We have #1 learned a great deal of useful information, #2 hung out with some amazing people in the industry, and #3 gotten the freakin’ hook up in the area of film! Below is an image of the Opryland Hotel where the conference is being held and an image of our current stash of free film (notice the generosity of Kodak).
