My name is Jeff Hall and I am a lifestyle photographer living in Greenville, SC and working throughout the southeast. I live in an old house with my wife Sarah and Olde English Bulldogge Harley. Sarah is a Head Softball Coach at a nearby university and Harley sleeps 20+ hours a day and contributes very little to society, while at the same time making our lives much more enjoyable.

My interest in photography began sometime in middle school when my mother would let me borrow her nice 35mm point and shoot to take on field trips and tell me to make sure that I was in all the pictures. She would take me to Wal-Mart to have the film developed only to find the entire roll of film full of random buildings or strangers. It wasn’t until my 19th birthday that I got my first big-boy camera and genuinely fell in love with taking photographs. I was a religion major in college, but when I wasn’t studying church architecture or the psychology of faith development, I was in the creepy darkroom on campus spending hours creating a single 8×10 of a random building or a stranger.

After graduation I worked for 2 years as a producer/road manager for a traveling production company in Birmingham, Alabama before moving to Greenville in 2006. Since moving to Greenville and beginning my career as a photographer, I have experienced many changes in my approach to taking photographs. I am a gear nerd, and acquired some of the best digital technology and equipment on the market. I soon learned, however, that I was spending hours trying to recreate the look of an image shot on true film, so I decided to cut back on my bright and shiny digital cameras and invest in some truly legitimate film cameras. This has opened my creative mind to things shooting only digital would never have allowed. I utilize both digital and film cameras to create authentic photographs that are captivating and tell a unique story about the subject being presented. My photographs are not perfect, I am not perfect, and perfection is not my goal. I instead put emphasis on consistently delivering an excellent and authentic product.
