Party Like a Rockstar

Trey Rollins is a rockstar. Fact.

Don’t believe me? You can ask his kids (or anyone else who knows him). Trey is getting ready to record an album, you should be very excited. Trey is not a musician who writes to merely please the masses. Trey has been inspired with some amazing lyrics and melodies and simply has to share them. This is the way music should be. In fact Trey just moved away from Nashville, TN one year ago. He had every opportunity to join the overwhelming population of musicians looking for their big break, but the inspiration wasn’t there and who needs another shallow uninspired poser? Not to worry if you are an uninspired poser, there’s a place for you and you can probably get rich writing/performing terrible music. Need proof? Turn on your local pop station and listen for about an hour. You’re pretty much guaranteed to hear a few really bad songs. I’m not knocking pop radio, I listen to it just as much as the next guy; I’m not a music snob.

Trey leaves for Nashville this weekend to begin the week long marathon/sprint of recording his album, and I’m getting really excited about it. I will be there all next week photographing and documenting the entire process. There are thousands of ideas running through my head and Trey’s head collectively, so I’m not sure exactly how it will all look.

I will be posting as frequently as possible, hopefully more than once a day. You can also follow the the process from Trey’s perspective here.

Get excited.
