I decided on Monday to do a Wedding Expo this weekend (Sat. Feb. 2nd: 10-3). I did one in the fall and got a few weddings from it, so I figured I would do another one (this one is supposed to be the biggest they’ve done; 600+ brides). It’s still kind of strange to promote myself at a trade show, but I am starting to get excited about this one. Mainly because I am putting some new ideas out there. I am very interested to see the reactions I receive. I’m trying to separate myself from the other 20+ photographers who will be hocking their wares. Still trying to hone in on my “onlyness” as ZAG puts it. I have no problem labeling myself as a “Wedding Photographer.” I just don’t want it to carry a negative connotation when it is used alongside my name.
